What an incredible place that would be to visit!\u201d&#8230; we definitely have. Filming locations don\u2019t just happen by chance, though. Despite being given fictitious names, a film or TV show has to be set somewhere, and not all are produced in giant studios either. Often, when a film or TV show is in pre-production, a location scout (we can only dream of having such a job) is tasked with finding the perfect spot to set the scene.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For big budget blockbusters, this can usually be anywhere in the world and some films can have multiple filming locations. Sometimes those locations can become just as iconic as the film or TV show it\u2019s a part of, too.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Being the curious creatures we are, we wanted to explore some of these iconic film locations, but doing so in real life would cost a pretty penny\u2026 so we went on a virtual tour instead! But that\u2019s not all, we\u2019re a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.climadoor.co.uk\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">door company<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, so it seems only right to include some iconic doors, too (step aside <a href=\"https:\/\/www.climadoor.co.uk\/patio-doors\">patio doors<\/a>!).&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fancy a whimsical wander through Wonderland? Located on the corner at number 90 Bedford Street in the West Village of New York City, the quaint <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thelittleowlnyc.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Little Owl Restaurant<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> plays host to the exterior shot we see of Monica\u2019s apartment block. Open to the public, the restaurant can be visited for some top notch grub, including meatball sliders and steak strip tacos &#8211; could it BE any more New York? Many of the sets are still preserved, with a huge fan base visiting regularly. The famed Hawkins Middle School was created within a derelict building in the quiet, unassuming town of Stockbridge. The huge success of the Netflix series and its cult following, has certainly put the town on the map! With <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.travelpulse.com\/news\/entertainment\/stranger-things-tour-opens-in-atlanta.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stranger Things sight-seeing tours<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> now being offered, you can visit some of the most familiar spots.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.climadoor.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Hawkins-Middle-School-Iconic-Filming-Locations-Climadoor-scaled-e1642787452697.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-860\" src=\"https:\/\/www.climadoor.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Hawkins-Middle-School-Iconic-Filming-Locations-Climadoor-scaled-e1642787452697.jpg\" alt=\"Hawkins Middle School - Iconic Filming Locations - Climadoor\" width=\"1015\" height=\"761\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><b>Jurassic Park &#8211; Isla Nublar<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You\u2019d be forgiven for thinking that Isla Nublar was a real place, and it is\u2026 kinda. It\u2019s actually the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/theculturetrip.com\/north-america\/usa\/hawaii\/articles\/11-jurassic-park-spots-that-you-can-actually-visit\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hawaiian island of Kauai<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and it\u2019s a pretty magnificent place. Often referred to as the \u201cGarden Isle\u201d thanks to the dense tropical rainforest that blankets the island, you can see why they chose it as the home of this prehistoric epic. There might have been a little bit of computer wizardry to alter the setting slightly for Game of Thrones, but there\u2019s no denying where you are when you\u2019re there. An anomaly on our list, the address in the book\/series is actually real. Located in the heart of London&#8217;s Marylebone and a stone&#8217;s throw from Regents Park, it\u2019s probably one of the most famous literary addresses in the capital. A towering traditional Georgian townhouse befitting one of the greatest fictional detectives there ever was. Well, you can! Sort of\u2026 The exterior of the school is actually that of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.alnwickcastle.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alnwick Castle<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Dating back to the 14th century, this Scottish treasure has an illustrious past, but right now, broomstick training on the lawn is where it\u2019s at.
