What are architraves?

A door architrave’s main purpose is to conceal the joint between your door frame and wall. Like other door accessories and hardware, they’re not a structural necessity but they will create a more seamless, stylish look throughout your home.

You can finish architraves in a variety of colours to ensure they’ll fit in with your decor too. To make life easier for you, we offer white primed architraves so they’re ready to be painted to match your existing woodwork without the need to prime them yourself first.

Can I fit my own door architrave?

As long as you have a little DIY know-how, fitting your own door architrave can be a surprisingly easy task! We recommend fitting the headpiece of your architrave first, as this will give you a good reference point to make sure the sides are even.

If you don’t feel confident with DIY, we’d recommend getting a professional to fit your door architrave. This will ensure you have the perfect finish.
