Stylish Black Doors for an Interior Designer's Own Home in Liverpool

“I feel like I’m sharing a trade secret when I tell people the price of these doors!” says interior designer Gemma Weston-Roper (AKA @woolton_interiors on Instagram). Gemma moved into a 1960s detached “doer upper” in January 2021 and her vision was to create an open, minimalist living space with a monochromatic vibe.

She says: “Originally, the house was the ugliest on the street. Brown cladding, crazy paving style stone frontage - it really had it all. But we saw the potential and the location was great.”

“We’ve now completed a top to toe renovation room by room, beginning with the

children's rooms and working down to the kitchen and diner. The living space was completed last and we’ve gone for a neutral style. With the absence of character we’ve added our own with a fireplace and exposed hardwood floors.”
